Maurice L. Harris, Ph.D. (pictured) has a distinguished career spanning 25 years in a variety of marketing, communications, branding, and business development positions.
He earned his Ph.D. in Ethical & Creative Leadership with a Specialization in Martin Luther King Studies & Social Change from Union Institute & University. He holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Mount Saint Joseph University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northwood University. He achieved each of his educational milestones while working full time.
Dr. Harris’s education, work, and lived experiences have positioned him as a force for positive social and political change, especially in the areas of LGBTQIA rights, gender equality, racial healing, and economic justice. He is well known for his adeptness at channeling the creative tension within groups into effective solutions, a skill that he credits to his uncommon range of critical and creative skills in music, visual art, business, and research.
In addition to his academic and professional accomplishments, Dr. Harris is an accomplished musician. His musical career is, in fact, as long and as storied as his career in communications and marketing. Dr. Harris has produced and published music for a variety of films, television shows, and commercial releases. Some of which can be found under his real name, his pseudonym Ionne, and in collaboration with other artists.
